Lunch in Taiping A brief stop over in Taiping There isn't much attraction in Taiping that we are not familiar with and it was not imperative that we must visit this town once again. However Taiping it's food and the Lake Garden have that magnetic pull that somehow we must do a stop over to update ourselves on the latest happenings. So we did. Something new to us. Now there is a third alternative route to enter town from the Expressway apart frm Simpang and kemunting. That's new! Other "New" in town included the street art depicting Amelia Earhart flight round the world, the burnt down bazaar and finally progress made on the Siang Malam market Besides that we had a wonderful time at the Causal market eating and buying. Lastly that cruise through memory lane plus making pictures of the fallen rain tree in Lake Garden Well, I am surprised that it is quite a mouthful. 1. 10. Across the road the other half Actually never realized this part existed! Only oaid attention to the roof eaves where people do their betting as to the time when the drop of rain would fall for the day. Never heard of this practice anymore
11. One more view - the old looks We would not be able to spend time here until it is finished
12. Entering the Lake Garden junction From the end of road in town - a change in scene
13. Fallen tree No. 1 I actually had a sketch plan put up to name each tree with a number. But too much effort to dwell into this fancy
14. Fallen tree No. 2 #17 15. Fallen tree No. 3
