Day Trip - Pulau Ketam

Hunt for good makam!!!!

Pulau Ketan the name, sounds so exotic and just off Port Klang, some more so reachable. Cannot blame the listeners who have that urge to check out the place

However, through the grapevine, there is the no feed back at all that there are fantastic food to be savored and memorable sights that one likes to be associated. All in all that urge in people was trimmed to - from "Must Go Quick" to a "Nice to make a trip

For this bunch of karaoke ladies the opportunity came. With a caution that there would walking and exposure to the weather We set off for Ketam this noon time.

For me the one important thrill of the whole journey, would be to enjoy the ferry's sailing on open deck. This 45 minutes rides offers the fun of passing through uncommon mangrove forest and with that strong draft blowing onto the face. Maybe with a bit of luck come across a couple of unusual sightings. But for city folks - heavens No!

The surf will splash and worse still, the thought of having to face the risk of falling overboard, So they rather stayed in air con comfort cabin. hoping that the journey would end soon.

The long waited trip finally took place. It was suppose to be a nice and easy pace as the island. Not everyday one gets to ride inside a boat, in this case a Ferry, we choose the less crowded and more premier class Alibaba ferry. There were only 2 stops. First "Five Rivers" and then final destination Pulau Ketam.

The island by now is quite geared up for tourism. At the jetty many shops offering the rental of electric bikes, which makes moving around the settlement swift and easy. For us, there was no such need as we would be following the regular tourist track that covers the notable points within a small confine on the settlement. i.e. All around the jetty.

The further points that needed more walking would be are the home stay and the mangrove forest. There are people who has that particular agenda. To cut a long story short here are the pictures collected

The same old question after each trip. Is it worth coming to? Actually that is not a fair question to ask. Simply because it is matter of expectation and fantasy that there are magical places to be explore. Ask no more and seek no further! There is none! It is more an appreciation that one is given to an opportunity to be there to experience, a blessing that we could peacefully go out and break the routine. last of all consider ourselves lucky to have friends and companion. If those are the views Of course Yes! Think of me, I believe being here donkey times and yet I keep coming back
