Waterfalls of Malaysia

The Jeriau Waterfalls

How is this place - The Jeriau Waterfall?

Once you are in the Frasers Hill area, the pace of life slows to a pace that is so quiet and relaxed. Much more serene when compared to that of the Kampongs. So what can you expect from  a place called "Waterfall"! It is very quiet and deserted, all because there are few people in Frasers Hills.

I think it is important to get the expectation right before setting out to "Check it" out. So you reached the car park area. A normal scene, with a couple of cars. And the entrance.

Right at the car park, a road to the left continues up hill. It is barricaded with boom gate! That is the way to the once "New" Golf course. Now abandoned.

Then the entrance to the Waterfall

This is a the signboard inviting you to take a short walk.

Look at the condition of the paved path, it is a 10 minutes walk about 200 meters gentle downhill.

Direction - Going towards the Waterfall area, the stream is on your left.

There is a rest stop as well, for those not so familiar with outdoor life.

Very soon, the roar of water falling and through the foliages, the Waterfall could be seen

At the end of the gentle stroll, would be steps going down to the river bank. Here, in front at the bottom of the steps are the couple of toilets cum change room

View of the river going away from the Waterfall area

Then , end of the steps and turn back, the whole waterfall is sight.

My gang like kids enjoying the walk and view.

Yes, if you like a picture, all by yourself for souvenir. No pushing and shoving bystanders away.

There you are the pool in front of the Waterfall - Mission accomplished!

As I have said, this is a place to bring some food, spend a few hours, all by yourself. No fantastic view, no big swimming pool but plenty of peace and beauty!
