Chiang Mai is a city in mountainous northern Thailand. Founded in 1296 the then independent Lanna Kingdom ruled from Chiang Mai until 1558. In the Chiang Mai city, the old city areas still remain as it was till today
The city is also home to hundreds of buhhdist temples
Chiang Mai meaning "New City" celebrated it's 700 years anniversary in 1996 still choose to retain that name.

Most new comers to Chiang Mai thinks that the city is the stepping stone to eco adventures In fact the city itself is a museum and cultural center. First, the old city itself is the showcase of the north's indigenous cultural identity like diverse dialect cuisine and distinctive architecture
Around the city, the hinterland is blessed with abundance of natural beauty like mountain, river and waterfalls The presence of numerous hill tribes present chances of meeting up with unique cultures Then besides hunting for souvenirs, here in Chiang Mai, there are chances to learn about production of silk or silver wares

Another day, another round of breakfast.

Well I must say that the place was rather decent and nothing I could complain about. Further more in foreign land, every thing was non routine and so better away from the same old happenings
