Songkla A glimpse at Hat Yai City The most preferred destination overseas for many Malaysian would be Hat Yai, not overseas but just across the border. Why do we all like going to Hat Yai? For the men - the girls? And the women folks - shopping!. I have collected pictures of the memorable spots and things that we did in Hat Yai. Would be very much the same as what almost every one did as well. For me personally, refreshes that good old times while we were there too. Now looking back at the these pictures, in the comfort of home. What is the most striking point that these places all have in common? Is it that they were not attainable locally in Malaysia? . Cheap? Exotic? I think the real answer is these happenings were away from home. We all passed through those experiences under a very different moods. Sorry I am so sad to see and say that all those rare and unusual sentiments we had tasted before in Thailand are hard to come back these days. In today's environment, the taste, the ways foods were served and the cost are all comparable with Malaysia. it is like choosing a different restaurants locally to go to, for a change. The moods of encountering scenes that would be unfamiliar - all gone. The crowds! the waiting! and that anticipation of surprises all disappeared. I am just wondering why and where is that urge to search and seek
