My collection of Close-up Pictures

Pictures !The only that I had was that solitary picture which was used to apply for my IC. Never thought of making pictures

After I started working, got myself a cursory half frame Olympus Pen Point & Shoot Camera - an essential by then. It was not until 1993, when I was then with the Malaysian Nature Society, got involved into doing light photography inside the pitch dark caves.

Got so engrossed that I eventually needed 2 units SLR , an entry level Canon EOS 500. Despite of having real cameras that had never got me to seriously consider going into doing normal photography.

Time passed, the trend changed and I followed the tide.  Was among the earliest to acquire my first digital camera, a Fuji in the year 2000. The digital camera made my outlook turn worse. Without the need to know the number of frames I have used up, I went into doing bird pictures with several models of Lumix with longs lense. My focus in those years was doing Video with Sony Cams and not so much bird pictures.  Those were the old days.

I am going into another hobby, making close up pictures, in the tail end of my life. Cannot keep running around to wander and to chase birds, I settled down to do permitable photography with the limits of my remaining capabilities That coincided with the discontinuation of the digital SLR. With my old equipments, I started spending time with short lenses Much to my surprise there are still space and way ahead for me. Here are pictures from my first impression
