Exquisite taste - Fish-Veggie Thai Restaurant

Nestled deep inside a hidden valley within the "Quartz Ridge" that enveloped KL city is this quaint restaurant.

Offering fresh seafood cooked in Thai style. This restaurant has been in operation for 13 years, starting in 2009. The dining area was made up of continuous shed built on top of the edge of a fresh water pond. The fishes served are farmed and freshly harvested. On the valley floors, would be vegetable plots and empty grounds for free ranching chickens. So iy goes without saying that the chicken and veggie served here, are also harvested direct from the grounds within the farm. Then, they are the sea food kept in tanks, so apart from this lot, almost all other ingredient are home grown.
I like the place a lot. It gives the feeling of escaping from urban Kuala Lumpur, where the restaurant is at its fringe. But first, you will have to leave the concrete jungle to enter into a tropical forest. Along its way, it was a pity the the exotic Viewpoint for the panoramic Kuala Lumpur sight was made defunct. Most probable the stop over spots, was hazarded to traffic and also recorded the high risk of roadside robbery
Anyway - back to the Thai restaurant The ambience of dining in is superb. I particularly preferred to visit the place in the twilight hours. the mood, it's a mixture of seeing the setting of the restaurant in natural lights and thereafter in fading and dimmed lights Also, a switch over to the mood brought about by artificial lightings in deep forest
Food served though limited in choice, is good with competitive pricing. But if one do not mind spending the extra dollars, is in indulging in fresh sea food. that widens the choice.
Of course after dinner - it's the daunting task of getting out of the woods and weaving through that dreadful Ring Road jams.

Quartz Ridge is a ring of semi-circular low hill that surround the Klang Valley. Inside these hills there were narrow valleys too. In one of them, is this small pond at the valley floor, an enterprising restaurant owner built a low shed with tables on its edge. Then it was then the role of the internet to bring the crowd in!

So far, I did not mention about food. Just the surrounding and attraction. I would say yes! It is an outing, a long drive up the hills and getting to the view point where the whole KL city would be at the your feet.

We were there in the early days before the internet got to work. Because of its remoteness plus a scary drive on a track down into the valley, crowd was thin. In fact very thin. Then some bright sparks came out with an idea of delivering food by motorised craft across the lake. That's it? Patrons were curious as to the ambience this idea would create.

The crowd! At the worse, long wait for a seat or got pushed away as the place was full. With assurance of high patronage, the restaurant only accept walk-in during its heydays. I suppose all those had changed with the novelty waning off.

Food served though limited in choice is good with competitive pricing. But if one do not mind spending the extra dollars in indulging in first sea food. then the choice is much wider
