Birds Anatomy

I personally find this illustration useful. I am still not have not mastered all the terms, not so confident as to the appropriate terms to be used to describe a that part of the bird. For new comers the many new names is like unveiling a mystery. Why not so observant, why "White-throated Kingfisher, Black-nape Oriole or a White-thighed Falconet?"  Then when its time to using reference book, you will find the mentioning of many news terms like supercilium and lores. These terms seems to be starts creeping up so often. I hope that the sketch, it helps to take you along.

By the way, though the sketch seems over crowded with terms, it is not a complete list Quite a few terms like coverts are being left out, while the obvious one like eyes, leg and feet too
