Na Muensri Weaving Group

Na Muesari is a name of the hamlet in the Na Yong district. This location gained fame for its local weaving quality since years ago. At the time of our visit, this Nameusari was better organised to preserve the traditional weaving techniques. the factory was open to the public and can be seen on the way to Tham Chiang hai and that was how we ran into it.

While driving through the maze of village roads inside the area of a Na-yong district. A suburb in rural Trang, we accidentally stumble upon a cloth weaving factory. This is very traditional. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this not say primitive but rudimentary way of making Thai cloth still existed. We had in Malaysia printing batik on ready made cloth. But this is weaving cloth from thread! we had an interesting time looking through the processes as well making pictures of the various design. Very traditional pattern in Thai culture. An interesting and educational find
