Klong Lamchan Bird Sanctuary is indicated by the huge sign showing the entrance to the sanctuary. The sanctuary proper  was about 1 kilometer from the Main Road. The fair size big pond was dotted with wild ducks flying about . Some did land on the water very often. 

This is a very secluded place and perfect as get away destination. Back in 1996, I was Waterfalls hunting and was not into Bird Watching. That explain why among the pictures posted, not that many show birds. On subsequent visit, Yes! I got pictures of Whistling Ducks and so for this page I have included one cursory frame

Over the years, what drew the ducks here in the first place, were slowly eradicated. I suppose the ducks knew better as Whistling Ducks are quite sensitive to human presence. Being mobile, really takes efforts to woo these creature to stay
