Kelantanese Food @ Kelate Kitchen

Kelantan is so far away, right on top on the other side of the peninsula. The way of life and preferences are slightly different. The same food that we have buy prepared is a slightly varied style. That's what everyone is going. A variation! Again pushed by the internet we had to check out this unusually popular joint that was drawing huge daily crowd.

The shop front and the queue.

Very rudimentary set-up, Rice, cucumber, fried stuff and condiments.

Outside along the veranda and by the road side, continuously doing the open air grille to feed the stream of waiting patrons. - side view

And now a front view

These fried chicken, though looks common and seasoned with known condiments somehow tasted so much different and better when done by them

Found this plaque displayed in the shop

Still fascinated by the unending long queue and waiting. Taking the orders and serving was OK. Normal pace and not delayed in anyway.

The menu was straight forward - Nasi Kerabu, Nasi Kukus, barbecue meat, sambal terciduk, sambal bilis tempe and Ayam percik.

Served on top of a piece of paper

House speciality would be the super sweet Teh Beng Jabok Madu

Strong taste and unusual flavour is the main attraction

Simply put, a change in taste is always a welcoming move and exhilarating as well.
