I started a new hobby and also a new page - Butterfly! Gee! - boys at this age, it is tough to learn new facts, particularly involving information that encompasses non English sounding terms

Today 8th October 2022 yesterday I have reached the stage to know the way how butterfly are classified. Now I can start practicing for starter how to recognized the more common types. Overall with that little knowledge and looking at the diversity, the number involved plus how to go around seeking them out! I came to the decision that I don't see how I could still run around to build up my Butterfly List. So what's next? I have decided just to collect what I could record my achievement. Give up! No longer that ambitious as to make a complex list of butterfly that one could see in Malaysia. An idea that I had when I started making my page

Some butterfly facts. First the are about 17,461 species of Butterfly Worldwide and in Malaysia there would be around 1,300 species . No Lah! Not that much - the figure of 300 butterfly that one could actually see as quoted by many sources - is not scary at all. Not until I went into details of the Lycaenidae and Hesperidins My goodness there diagnostic marking are so. minute and evading. First shocker for me - I found that quite a number of buttery are small about 10 mm big going down to 5 mm. I spent a lot of time waiting for them for them to appear and then staying tracking them for good pictures

So! The smallest butterfly is only about 1/8 of an inch whereas the largest butterfly is nearly 12 inches. Sadly the small and the dull looking Butterfly makes up the bulk.

With full enthusiasm and experiences in doing the pages on birds I started diligently to learn about butterfly. As mentioned in earlier Para. I have to vary my expectation. At last it is not Khong's collection but my association with Butterfly. Till now the information I have can be sorted out as
